Charlie Macquarie is an artist, archivist, experimental librarian, and amateur radio operator. He makes digital and physical site-specific libraries as the Library of Approximate Location and installs them down dirt roads around California, Nevada, Utah, and beyond. He is the digital archivist at the University of California, San Francisco, and is a member of the Bay Area Chapter Collective of the University Council of the American Federation of Teachers. Charlie grew up on Washo land, in Carson City, NV, and lives and works on Karkin Ohlone land, in Oakland, CA. His call sign is KN6HLC.
